Books to help your research

These books along with many other titles and and a good selection of software aimed at family historians, are from Amazon.co.uk. I use and fully recommend the first three books listed here by title.

Stella Colwell's book "Tracing your Family History" has been one of the best I have bought to help me in my family history research. It helps you plan your research and decide what information you need, and also covers how to interview relatives effectively and draw up your family tree.

These other titles can be harder to get hold of but are well worth waiting for.

Professional Family Tree Printing

Genealogy Printers are a small, family run business involved in tracing their own genealogy. They can print your family tree on one continuous piece of paper, 24 to 40 inches tall and as wide as it needs to be. So much nicer than sticking all those A4 sheets together! Click the banner for details.

These places will not necessarily help you trace your family so they are not resources as such. However, if you're into Family History, they may be of interest.
