Nameday Rituals

This is the scene in Salamandastron where Thrugg the otter dresses up as a badger for the Nameday feast. That's Baby Dumble waving the stick, and Samkim and Arula to the side. I don't much like how Thrugg's face came out, but I can't really put my finger on why. That's not a dress he's wearing, it's a robe made of old drapes. Baby Dumble is absolutely adorable, even though it's hard to see him properly at this scale. Yes, I know Samkim is dressed like Disney's Robin Hood. I was sort of hoping to get Dingeye and Thura in as well, but I ran out of room, which is what you get for trying to draw different species in size proportion. I drew them separately - go back and look at the Art page.
